Advance voting dates, General Voting Day, location and registration basics for Armstrong voters.
Armstrong voters are choosing one mayor and six councillors in the 2026 general local election.
Voting dates
Advance voting: Wednesday, October 7 and Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
General Voting Day: Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voting is at Armstrong City Hall, 3535 Bridge Street.
Registering to vote
The City’s election notice says there is no need to preregister. Eligible electors can register at the voting place.
Resident electors must bring two pieces of identification, with at least one bearing a signature. Picture identification is not required. The identification must establish identity and residency.
Non-resident property electors have additional requirements, including proof of their entitlement to register in relation to the property and, where applicable, written consent from other owners.
Because eligibility can depend on individual circumstances, voters with questions should check the City’s official election notice or contact the Chief Election Officer.
Candidates
Four people are running for mayor and 16 for council. The Spall’s candidate profiles and comparison series are linked from the Election 2026 page.
